Farewell 2022 through the lens of gratitude

By Leela Singaram Champ | Founder & Executive Director

Leaving behind a turbulent 2022 marked by recession, unemployment, war and the ongoing fight with Covid 19, most would agree that it has been far from easy. Riding the tide of gratitude, we at The Other Side Foundation thank our donors and partners for helping us get through a challenging year. We could not have done it without YOU.
Despite this wave of turbulence, our school for orphans and vulnerable children managed to participate in Interschool sports competitions, celebrated teachers' birthdays, International Teacher's Day, annual Christmas party for children and Christmas dinner for the staff, not forgetting Zambian Independence Day.
TOSF School's Scout movement carried on serving the community and met weekly for Scouts meetings and always having the children at heart, the year end school excursion trip was organised which our orphans and vulnerable children look forward to. Parents of our pupils show their appreciation of the free quality education, health care and food their children receive by cleaning the school premises thoroughly every term when there is a term break.
Enjoy the 2022, last quarter newsletter attached, which has more details of how we sailed through yet another exigent year and look forward to a more promising 2023.
