On December 22, 2017, 26 amazing students graduated from Nehemiah Gateway University in Pogradec, Albania. They returned to their homes in places like Albania, Tanzania, Uganda, and South Sudan, ready to get started improving their communities, working as entrepreneurs or pursuing careers in their chosen fields.
Meanwhile, a new class of students is arriving in Albania to start a new year at the University. Among them, we have four new students from Tanzania this year. Coletha and Dotto both grew up at the Kemodo Children's Home near Lake Victoria. They both plan to work there after graduation, helping a longtime Nehemiah Gateway partner to broaden its funding through entrepreneurship. Nembuan and Namayana are two young Masai women from the village of Malambo, in northern Tanzania. Nembuan aspires to be a bush pilot after she graduates, bringing needed medicines and supplies to remote regions of her country. Namayana plans to open a store in Malambo after graduation, giving back to the community as she succeeds.
Thanks to your help, these young people, and others like them, can attain a college education at the Nehemiah Gateway University. Thank you!
You can continue to support Nehemiah Gateway University students through our scholarship fund here.
All the best,
Sarah Pita
