Footprints 4 Sam came into being in October 2017. Since then this remarkable charitable Trust has touched lives in paediatric healthcare in profound ways. This has been done through countless volunteer hours and strict governance and oversight monitored by the Trust's Board of Trustees. For the Trust to scale and increase its impact, permanent staff now need to be employed. Professional staff will ensure our six key initiatives and the fundraising needed to support these are aligned.
Footprints 4 Sam has grown to such a degree that it is now hard to meet the growing needs of our beneficiaries without taking on full time staff. For the last six and a half years this incredible and highly impactful charity has done everything using volunteers. However as we know this is not sustainable longterm. In order to ensure that the Trust remains sustainable and professionally run it is time to start onboarding permanent staff - The demand is there and the Trust would like to meet it.
The goal of onboarding professional staff would ensure that the Trust is future proofed and can truly meet the needs of our young beneficiaries, their families and the health professional that serve them. Up until now Melissa, Sam's Mum and the main driver behind the Trust has run everything as a volunteer together with other incredible volunteers and Trustees - however there comes a time in all volunteer associations that permanent staffing needs to be onboarded to ensure scalability,
Footprints 4 Sam has impacted thousands of lives profoundly during the past six & a half years. Our charity model is effective & the demand for support in paediatric healthcare in State Hospitals in South Africa is enormous. With additional staffing in place we can ensure that even more young lives are given the support, hope & dignity that they so richly deserve. Paediatric healthcare should be about the children. Their journey needs to be supported in a beautiful way - That is what we do!
