Dear donator
My name is Emma and I am currently in my fifth semester at the CECyTE emsad-54 “San Lorenzo Texmelucan” school. I am originally from the community of El Carrizal in the municipality of San Lorenzo Texmelucan, a place where everyone speaks the Zapotec language.
The scholarship I have received has meant a lot to me, not only from an economic point of view, but also in terms of my personal and academic development. It has allowed me to continue with my studies and has also been a stimulus to strive even harder and overcome challenges that would have been more difficult in other circumstances. In addition, I have had the opportunity to interact and learn with other girls who, thanks to the Fund, have had access to higher education. This exchange of ideas and experiences has been very enriching, since I have been able to meet people with different cultures, ways of thinking and world views, but beyond that I have been able to find many friends.
I feel very proud of myself for having the opportunity to have won this scholarship. When I was little, I always had that dream of continuing to study and become a professional, but I also always worried about my family because I did not want to be a burden on them, and just when I had to decide whether to continue studying or not, this great opportunity that marked my life was presented to me.
To end this letter, I want to repeat that I am totally grateful, and that I invite this organization to continue looking for donors so that more indigenous and Afro-Mexican women can be part of the fund and help their community to get ahead, as well as their family.
Sincerely
Emma
