Diana is 44 years old and she came to our Hospital in the need of an endoscopy-based gastric
tissue biopsy in order to get her health condition checked. The procedure, which requires
general anesthesia and the use of a laparoscope, lasted approximately one hour and it was
performed by our gastrointestinal surgery and endoscopy specialist.
Dr. Jaime states that the laparoscopy procedures performed on patients that often look to get
their health condition checked is a method that allows identifying the diagnostic more quickly
and assertively. "Our patient Diana came looking for assistance because she had been having
persistent pain in the upper quadrants of her abdominal area for about a year. Thus, an
assessment of the patient was conducted by means of the endoscopy equipment, that is, a
digital chromoendoscopy. This exam allows performing biopsies that enable confirming the
diagnostic and, subsequently, giving the patient the onco-specific treatment”.
Diana told us that she is not worried at all because several people close to her have recommended
