The victim families affected by Storm disaster during this quarter from November 2021 to January 2022 have been greatly suffered by heavy rainfalls in terms of flooding which is so abnormal in Nepal during this late rainy season period in November.This season and time is mainly for Paddy crop harvesting and threshing.This crop in Nepal is major food crops in Nepal from which people livelihood is based and concerned. But unfortunately, because of heavy rainfalls whole harvested paddy crops were damaged and not fit for food purposes.As a result , the livelihood of the poor people were threatened and great risk of hand to mouth problems.
In this circumstances,
MRC Nepal organize those victm families in groups and performed socio psycho counselling for the relief of pain and stress.Also MRC nepal lobbyed the group in Local and central government authority for granting any type of subsidy for food and seed materials.Not only these but also MRC Nepal organize these victim families for the implementation of Short run income generation activities such as High value fresh vegetable production program from where they generate the attractive income from the selling of fresh vegetables.MRC Nepal supported them seeds inputs for production,technical backstopping support and Skill enhancement capacity building training.Now the beneficiaries are so pleased for maintaining their daily livelihood and thanked to GlobalGiving and MRC Nepal.
