Save the victims affected by STORM Disaster

The victim families affected by storm disaster in Bara and Parsa district of Nepal are in serious need of support for fooding,clothes and immediate shelters in early May and June/2019.There were many supporters from external agencies and person.The DDRC-tDistrict Disaster Relief Committe organize the support in a systematic way.MRC Nepal also involved in social preparation and motivation for the victim families.In the beginning period MRC Nepal suggested for the additional resources from GlobalGiving as the fund raising works are continuing.

In the month of June,when little resources received from GlobalGiving,MRC staff moved in the affected areas and field with the objective of organizing meeting with victim families and DDRC.Social preparation and motivation work have been continuing for the support of victim families by organizing several meeting and visit.Most of the victim families requested portable cookstove as they cook rice from fuel wood mostly.Because of extreme poverty they are not capable of buying LP Gasses and cylinder.Some families also requested Families Latrine support.But the Implementing organization MRC Nepal has not committed for Latrine support this time based on limited resources.

MRC Nepal suggested and motivated for the support of portable cook stove for cooking their meal which reduces indoor pollution and save time for cooking and reduces the fuel wood consumption.Most of the victim families are happy and requested to get portable cook stove.MRC Nepal will be decided in JULY second week,2019 for the supply of cook stove for how many beneficiaries based on resources.This will take some time for matching and co funding too.So that maximum no. of beneficiares will be benefitted.
