Simona is a Biology student at the University of Milano Bicocca in Italy who has been in love with the sea since she was a child. She had a dream of visiting Mozambique and we are lucky that she found ParCo through our project on GlobalGiving!
As a summer intern with ParCo, Simona has been assisting with the community led seahorse tours by capturing guest feedback, developing protocols, creating content for the interpretation center and posting marketing material at the local hotels. In her free time, she cooks with her Mozambican host family.
It has been great to have Simona with us and we wish her luck on her masters thesis regarding the contributions of ecotourism to seahorse conservation in Vilankulo.
