Reshma graduated with a bachelor degree in business from Siddhartha Degree College in 2024. She enjoyed college and acquired the set of skills that will serve her long-term goal – to open her own beauty salon. She has always been interested in the beauty industry and wanted to learn how to be a hairdresser and professional makeup artist.
She set her mind to this end and put herself through cosmetology school. In the fall of 2024, she passed her exams and began work at a local high-end salon. She is enjoying her work and learning along the way.
She already has repeat clients and says, “I really enjoy this job and I am so grateful to be here and working with these women.” She just celebrated her first full month at the salon. By the end of March she will be fully independent and living on her own with a few of her sisters who have already graduated from college.
Reshma is a perfect example of what is possible when a young woman is educated, supported and loved. Hope Now is committed to all our kids as they go through life.
