As we conclude 2024, SAFI stands proud of its progress and remains committed to its mission of improving the lives of stray animals. Together, with the continued support of our partners, volunteers, and community, we look forward to advancing our vision for a humane and compassionate world.

Over the last four years, our efforts have significantly improved the lives of countless animals through comprehensive care, advocacy, and education. Our 2024 performance illustrates a year of resilience, innovation, and dedication, setting the stage for even greater accomplishments in the future.

 

Key Metrics for 2024

                Animal Welfare Services:

                 Intakes: 164

                 Physical Exams: 164

                 Sterilizations: 318

                 Lifesaving Surgeries: 36

                 Treatments Administered: 1,553

                 Vaccinations Delivered: 1,854

                 Diagnostics Performed: 521

                Cruelty Prevention and Rescue:

                 Cruelty Cases Addressed: 214

                 Sanctuary Intakes: 84

                Adoption Initiatives:

                 Total Adoptions: 62

                 Indian Street Dog Adoptions in the USA: 8

 

2024 Achievements

        1.      Expanded Cruelty Prevention Advocacy & Legal Action

                 Strengthened our efforts to combat animal cruelty through active engagement with legal and community stakeholders.

                 Collaborated with law enforcement and legal teams to ensure justice in 214 cruelty cases.

        2.      Raheja Mindspace Sterilization Initiative

                 Successfully launched a focused sterilization drive within Raheja Mindspace, contributing to sustainable stray population control.

        3.      Global Adoption Outreach

                 Facilitated the adoption of 8 Indian street dogs in the USA, promoting the unique charm and resilience of Indian breeds to an international audience.

 

Strategic Goals for 2025

Building on the momentum of 2024, our goals for the coming year include:

        1.      Increase Sterilizations

                 Achieve 200 sterilizations per month to curb stray overpopulation.

        2.      Expand Education Programs

                 Reach more schools, universities, and communities to foster compassion and awareness about animal welfare.

        3.      Promote Indian Breed Dog Adoptions

                 Advocate for the adoption of Indian street dogs both domestically and internationally.

        4.      Enhance Clinical Capabilities

                 Equip our clinic with advanced medical tools to improve diagnosis and treatment.

        5.      Advanced Staff Training

                 Train staff on cutting-edge surgical and medical procedures to deliver the highest standard of care.

        6.      Rabies-Free India

                 Intensify vaccination drives and public awareness campaigns to eliminate rabies in the regions we serve.
