Namaskar, Dear supporters, readers, and animal lovers.
We are filled with immense joy and inspiration as we share the stories of 12 incredible four-legged world travelers and their remarkable adoption journeys. In 2023, 12 special needs street dogs embarked on a life-changing adventure, flying from India to America. Witnessing the transformation of these once-vulnerable dogs into cherished members of loving forever homes has been nothing short of extraordinary. Six of these courageous souls have found their perfect matches and are now experiencing the joy of companionship, adventures, and unconditional love.
What makes their stories even more awe-inspiring is these world travelers' incredible zest for life. These dogs, who once roamed the streets of India, are now embracing a new world of kayaking, participating in 5k runs, and enjoying RV vacations alongside their loving adoptive families.
This milestone is a testament to our mission and the impact we can achieve together. The international adoption process is complex and demanding, both logistically and financially. However, the immense joy and fulfillment we witness when these dogs find loving forever homes make every ounce of effort worthwhile. Your contributions have made a tangible difference in their lives, offering them the care, love, and security they deserve. We extend our sincere thanks to our India shelter team for their tireless efforts in managing the complex logistics involved.
We invite you to consider adopting one of the remaining special needs street dogs and making a lasting difference in their lives. If you're interested, don't hesitate to get in touch with us at info@strayanimalfoundationindia.org for more information. OR fill adoption application at www.strayanimalfoundationindia.org/adopt
Thank you for being a vital part of this accomplishment.
Sterilizations status
After tireless work fundraising, purchasing medications and supplies, and training our veterinarians to conduct mass sterilizations, we set up a clinic and formally started sterilizations in-house. The goal is to perform operations on 70 dogs a month! The first sterilization was done on Jan 25th, 2023. For the past 3 months, because of a lack of funds and staff shortage, we couldn't reach our goal. Population control surgeries for animals is critical for stressed populations. Reducing the increase in stray animals is paramount.
Clinic Equipment status
Thanks to a generous donor, we now have a CBC hematology machine, two freezers to store vaccinations, skin test equipment, and sterilization equipment.
Shelter News
We currently have 120+ animals in our care. Twenty-one paralyzed and special needs. Sixteen seniors in our sanctuary. Paralyzed dogs require highly specialized care, which can be quite expensive. They often get infections. They need hygiene, special diets, vet care, smooth floors, wheelchairs, and round the clock staff. The sanctuary can only continue to provide for these dogs with the help of generous donations.
GlobalGiving Journey
We became GlobalGiving permanent partners 2 years ago, which passed by with flying colors! We are very thankful to all our fantastic supporters. In 2 months, we saved 2000+ lives, sterilized 950+ dogs and cats, and completed shelter, sanctuary, and Clinic construction projects.
The steep dip in world economies and the sharp shoot-up of inflation resulted in raised expenditures and lesser donations. These lesser donations are detrimental to us. Donations have decreased in the recent past, but demand and need for service never go down.
Despite our unique rescue model's challenges, we managed successful rescue & rehabilitation, local and international adoptions, sterilizations, vaccinations, sanctuary, and cruelty counseling. The high number of accidents, abuse, cruelty, and discrimination always outweigh the number of funds. So proud of our team, supporters, and ourselves.
Supporters are pillars of our success. The impact you make is very, very real – and it's HUGE. These deserving dogs get their chances at extraordinary lives ONLY because of awesome people like you!
With your support, last year, we expanded the shelter to include.
While we are thrilled, we struggle to keep the clinic functional with medicines, supplies, and equipment.
Our pride does not fulfill here, and our service does not end here. We are yet to achieve much more than the accomplishments we did this year in the future.

At Stray Animal Foundation of India, we strive daily to serve the uncared, unloved, neglected street animals. We rescue, transport the injured, rehabilitate, sterilize and put up the animals for adoption.
We would like to see these numbers multifold with all your cooperation and contribution in the coming future.
For an Animal Shelter to sustain the growing number of neglected and injured street animals, multiple material and human resources must be maintained. That's where your contributions are put towards. One can only understand the financial support our foundation would require to travel the long waylaying ahead of us. Actions speak a thousand words. Let's come together and put our hearts to a beautiful cause.
