Save lives of Earthquake affected victim families

During this quarter June to September, 2024 in Nepal falls rainy season where unexpected rain fell in some parts of districts in Nepal resulting heavy flooding  and landslides which caused many highway road collapsed, agriculture land deposited by sand, many houses ans schools are damaged so that more than 236 till date death, many more missing and many more wounded. But earthquake affected district Jajarkot the western Nepal has not much more affected by this heavy rain however some agriculture crops have affected by heavy rain. 

In this quarter MRC Nepal initiated long run income generation activities to the earthquake affected families so that they will be able to maintain their daily livelihood and meets other household expenditures. Now, the crops are in vegetative and reproductive stage. Some families start to harvesting and marketing of vegetable and capable of earning some money. MRC Nepal focused high value crop production such as fresh vegetable production and sell to market along with household consumption maintaining balanced diet as vegetables are  richest sources of vitamin, protein, minerals and other nutrient neede for balanced diet. MRC Nepal provided seed support, bio fertilizer support, tools, materials, skill enchanement capacity building training and technical backstopping support. So that they are capable of producing and marketing of vegetable and earning attractive income. The enterprises not only create income but also create employement, reducing doectic violence and creating social harmony in the families.
