As described in the project entitled"Saves lives of Earthquake affected victim families " in western Nepal Jajarkot district which is so remote, mountainuous and hilly district where the devastating earthquake struck to all people lives, agriculture land and housing.More than 50 thousand people were affected and homeless ( more than 165 death) .More over the marginal, vulnerable , women and children are more affected. Along with this right this time and season the hard winter falls resulting snowfall in many locations. So that the marginal and vulnerable people also so called dalit families are more affected by deep and cold winter. They don't have and lacking warm clothes even in recent snowfall period. The pregnant, lactating women and children are more affected by this hard winter. Daily because of hard winter there were mortality of older ages, lactating women and children.

Some foods and warm clothes were reached in the accessible areas only but havenot reached in the remote interior hills and even to the marginal people. In this regards, our organization MRC Nepal reached to the interior remote hills and with marginal people where the support of warm clothes such as warm blanket (3-3.5kg double ply) and jacket were distributed based on demand, need and recommendations ( recommendation by local authority and chief district officer). On the basis of available resources more than 125 marginal people (women, older ages, lactating women and children) were benefited by warm clothes. In such areas and people, as a second step planning of food material will be provided.

By receiving such genuine need based warm clothes, the victim families were so pleased and happy during this snowfall time . All beneficiaries and local authorities were so pleased and impressive and expect more supportin the days to come. At the end, whole beneficiaries and local authorities warmly welcome and thanked to GLOBAL GIVING FUND and MRC Nepal support.
