Because of the effect of COVID-19 pandemic,still the community people are not openly come out and fear for CORONA attack.So that implementing organization MRC Nepal organize the virtual/distant meeting with the community beneficiaries of Flood affected victims families with community Leaders.In such meeting community people are aware of any forthcoming disaster including flood in the areas for safety measures as the season is highly prone to disaster.

The community people not only provided the awareness message on safety measures but also provided distant technical backstopping support for livelihood improvement through promotion of agricultural income generation activities as a high value crop such as eco friendly vegetable production technologies.

In the present context, because of COVID-19 pandemic the marginal people return back to the home from their job termination and now fighting with hand to mouth and severe poverty.

So the project with short packages address the opportunities of employment and income generation from the adoption of improved technologies of agriculture such as eco- friendly vegetable production as a high value crop that will boost for production and productivity of land. Among introduction of high value crop covers improved production technologies, plant protection through domestic pesticides, skill enhancement capacity building trainings, technical back stopping support and Marketing linkage/services. Generally market potential high yielding crop and varieties have selected and deliver the services accordingly.

The project support on skills enhancement training, technical backstopping support and materials and inputs support for production on contributory basis and or collaboration.Thus benficiaries are so happy and pleased of getting support from GLOBAL GIVING and MRC Nepal.About 40 house hold equivalent to 240 beneficiaries have been supported.They expect contineous support till 2 years.
