Hogar Bambi Venezuela continues to develop actions to keep the best living and health conditions for children and adolescents sheltered in their homes. During the fourth quarter of 2020, specialized medical care, antibiotic, antifungal, multivitamin treatments, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, surgical interventions and hospitalizations, required by children, were provided. Two adolescents underwent surgery (trauma-hand surgery) with a favorable recovery.
The following actions were also accomplished:
• 32 regular check-up visits.
• 137 specialty consultations (psychiatry, neurology, ophthalmology, ENT, among others).
• 336 visits due to illness.
• 134 first doses and boosters of vaccines were administered: pneumococcus, hepatitis, varicella, influenza, meningococcus, according to the children’s immunization schedule.
All these actions represent a complex commitment due to the high costs involved, therefore, we reiterate our gratitude for supporting the work and ensuring the well-being of these children and adolescents in situation of social risk and family abandonment.
