Namaste Dear Supporters,
At Stray Animal Foundation India (SAFI), we recognize that spay and neuter programs are the most effective, humane solution to managing India’s street dog population. In 2024, we made significant progress, sterilizing 318 animals, including sterilizations at Mindspace Hyderabad.
But we are not stopping here. This year, we are taking aggressive steps to increase our sterilization rate to 200 surgeries per month. However, we face critical challenges—safe transportation, proper post-surgery care, trained personnel, and essential medical equipment.
Scaling Up Sterilization in 2025
With India’s stray population nearing 80 million, sterilization remains at the heart of our mission. To meet our goal of 200 sterilizations per month, we urgently need to raise funds for critical infrastructure and resources:
Ambulance for Catching & Transport - $8,000
Build Kennels for Recovering Dogs - $4,500
Medicine Cabinets & Equipment - $1,200
Gas Anesthesia for Safer Surgeries - $2,800
Surgical Light for Surgeries - $500
Electronics (Computers, Phones & Earbuds) - $1,000
A 2-Wheeler for Field Operations - $800
Recurring Monthly Cost for Driver & Fuel - $300
