Safeguarding Frogs and Birds in Masuria, Poland

Dear Friends,

This report covers the period from December 01, 2024, to April 01, 2025 and is our nineteenth report on the project of Safeguarding Frogs and Birds in Masuria, Poland. 

After months of cold weather and barren landscapes, spring brings new growth and life. This renewal symbolizes hope for a better future and a fresh start.

When spring starts to roll around each year, we are quick to welcome back the sunshine and flowers with open arms.
But, as the flowers arrive, so do the weeds. As the weather becomes warmer and the cold fades, weeds begin to sprout. April is the best time of year to target weeds, so in order to keep them under control in our park, we should be taking action now.

The most effective weed control method is prevention. This means that by targeting them at this time, you prevent the weeds from ever sprouting fully this year, as well as preventing them from spreading seeds which will affect the weed control in later years.

We hope that due to our promotional activities towards visitors and tourists, we might get a hand this year. Weed pulling is a full-body exercise: strengthening legs and arms while walking to the site and carrying tools, and then using arms and back for pulling up weeds. Other benefits: Being outside and working hard to benefit our environment.
