Throughout February, Red Dot Foundation, in partnership with the Australian Consulate-General Mumbai, conducted Domestic Violence Advocacy sessions & Legal Clinics across Maharashtra and Goa as part of our ongoing initiative to combat Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV). These sessions provided women with essential knowledge on legal rights, available support systems, and advocacy tools, empowering them to take action for their safety and well-being.
Participants shared how these sessions helped them better understand their rights and access legal support when needed.
Red Dot Foundation conducted multiple sessions under the Life Skill Development and Livelihood Enhancement Project, in partnership with HDFC Bank Parivartan, to support and strengthen women-led businesses. These sessions, held in Satara (Maharashtra) and Chennai (Tamil Nadu), focused on financial management, business planning, and social media marketing, equipping participants with essential skills for sustainable growth.
A specialized session trained young girls and women in Aariwork blouse and saree designing, providing them with hands-on experience to develop their entrepreneurial potential. With over 50+ women participating, these workshops helped foster economic independence and create new opportunities for women to earn, grow, and thrive as future entrepreneurs.
