SOLVE IT RIGHT: MENTORING BOYS WITH MATHEMATICS

Dear Esteemed Donors,

We are pleased to present an update on our "Solve It Right: Empowering Boys Through Mathematics Mentorship" program, which resumed its nine-month cycle this October. Our mission continues to focus on nurturing mathematical skills and critical thinking among young boys, equipping them with the tools needed for academic success and future opportunities.

Current Status and Challenges

Participants and Locations:

- Current Engagement: We are thrilled to have 18 enthusiastic boys participating in our program at a community center in Lagos. These boys are eagerly engaged in learning and applying mathematical concepts through innovative teaching methods and mentorship.

- Closure of Additional Centers: Unfortunately, due to budgetary constraints, we had to close four other community centers. This decision was not taken lightly, but it was necessary to concentrate resources and maintain the quality of education provided at our remaining site.

Economic Challenges:

- The prevailing economic realities have significantly impacted our ability to secure resources and funding needed to expand and sustain the project at its desired capacity. These financial constraints have limited our outreach and the number of boys we can support at this time.

Project Activities and Focus

1. Mathematics Mentorship:

   - Delivering structured mathematics sessions focusing on core concepts, problem-solving techniques, and real-world applications to engage participants fully.
  
   - Utilizing digital tools and interactive platforms to enhance learning experiences and maintain participants' interest.

2. Skill Development:

   - Emphasizing critical thinking, analytical skills, and logical reasoning, all of which are crucial not only in mathematics but across other academic disciplines and life situations.

Future Plans and Objectives

- Addressing Economic Challenges: We are actively seeking additional funding sources and partnerships to replenish our financial resources, allowing us to reopen closed centers and expand our reach.

- Community Engagement: Planning community fundraising events and outreach programs to raise awareness of our project's impact and gather local support.

- Program Expansion: With adequate support, our goal is to reopen the closed centers and increase the number of participants, providing more boys with the opportunity to benefit from our mentorship program.
