Dear Donor,
Subejct : Kidalgama School, Meadawachchiya (Anuradhapura District) - Water and Sanitation Project
As of 8 March 2024, the estimated cost for the subject project was Rs. 769,800/—, for which we requested donations on GlobalGiving.
So far we have received a total of Rs. 344,506/57 as follows,
1) Via GlobalGiving - LKR 277,355/57
2) Cash Transferred to our local bank account - LKR 67,151/-r the estimate attached
The above amount received is approximately 45% of our requirement. With that we can commence work but cannot complete it.
We therefore suggest, with the donors' consent, that we direct these funds to our existing housing project at Kataragama (Monaragala District, Uva Province). This money can be used for the construction and finishing of a bathroom and toilet facility costing LKR 230,000/—, and the balance for the shortfall of funds for the other work of the house (building).
We appreciate having your objection if any by the 30th of November 2024. If no objection has been received by this date, we will proceed with the suggestion mentioned above.
