At Cocoa360, we believe healthcare is a basic human right, not a privilege reserved for the wealthy. Our Rural Health Equity Program embodies that belief and ensures that our community members have access to the care they need to live healthy, fulfilling lives. With 17,303 patients served, 10,097 malaria cases treated, 165 babies delivered, and 1698 respiratory tract infection cases treated, Tarkwa Breman Comm. Clinic needs expansion to serve the growing population in 8 rural communities.
In rural cocoa communities like Tarkwa Breman and its neighboring areas, a significant challenge arises from the high prevalence of poverty, an aging population, and limited social amenities like telecommunication networks. With the growing population and interest, there is a need to expand our clinic to have dedicated wards for males, females, children, and maternity. The clinic cannot function for 24 hours to properly treat and monitor in-patients as well as enough & conducive treatment rooms.
Cocoa360 has launched this campaign to raise $100000 to support the clinic expansion. This project will ensure that there are dedicated wards, labs, and resources at the Tarkwa Breman Community Clinic. This will provide safe monitoring and treatment for patients, especially those living in neighboring remote villages and pregnant women.
As we expand our clinic facilities, this will result in reduced mortality rates, increased life expectancy, & enhanced quality healthcare for all. We understand that healthcare costs can be a huge burden on low-income families, and that's why we've gone the extra mile to ensure that treatment costs are reduced by up to 77-80%. We will continue to offer free user fees for citizens aged 60 years and above.
