OPDERGM Women's Credit Project
The Organization of Planters for the Development of the Gwomòn River (OPDERGM) asked the Lambi Fund for financial support to strengthen a small women's credit project that already existed among the Organization. OPDERGM wanted to enable 25 more women to get financial means to conduct business activities.
Lambi Fund gave the Organization 250,000.00 gourds to lend 10,000 gourds to 25 women who would use the funds to strengthen the activities they already had. What was defined in the strategy of this project was different from others because the members would borrow the money for 3 months with a 3% degressive interest.
After each monthly repayment, the Organization would allow new members of the Organization to have the possibility to get a small loan as well.
