The planting of new trees in Ayapel can only be done in two seasons a year due to the natural movement of water levels.
At the end of April, the first season began, so last month we planted 2,000 trees and we are planning to plant another 2,000 trees this month.
The sowings are carried out with voluntary work from the community, that is, the community contributes their time and work to move this project forward.
The trees that have been planted are mainly cedars, oaks, kapok trees and Orejero.
In the nursery we currently have 3,000 growing trees for future plantings.
