CorpoAyapel has a tree nursery where local species are planted, watered and maintained. This nursery is key for the project becasue this is where our staff makes sure that the trees have the right conditions to grow strong. The goal is to oversee their growth, and once they are ready to be planted, take to the wetland.
For CorpoAyapel to plant trees, they need to be produced in the nursery first.
During the last months we planted kapok, cedar, mangrove and guayazan. They are ready to be taken to the wetland. See pictures.
CorpoAyapel's tree nursery is being maintained as planned and our staff are dedicated to its maintenance. There are now hundreds of trees from the nursery ready to be planted.
