VER REPORTE EN ESPAÑOL MÁS ABAJO
During the month of July, 6,000 new trees were planted in Ayapel. This process was done with the community, volunteers and local farmers that believe in the importance of planting trees as way to help with the rehabilitation of the ecosystem that has been greatly affected by illegal mining.
One of the youth organizations that helped in the process is "Jovenes por Ayapel" (youth for Ayapel)
This message from the community is very impactful and explains why this is important:
"Imagine if trees could give us WiFi, everybody would plant trees as crazy and we could end de-forestation, unfortunately they only produce Oxygen, which is what we breath”
