Hi Everyone!
Happy New Year! We are truly grateful for all the support, thus far. Together, we raised a total of $5,172 to defray the cost of running our correctional programming through 2019. We have been running programming in 2018 funded by a grant that has come to an end.
It costs our organization $57k a year to offer 8 classes per week, 50 weeks per year in 3 different correctional facilities in Jacksonville, FL. We are actively attempting to raise the rest of the $52k needed to sustain. Currently, we have completed our research evaluation of our correctional programming and those results will be released to the larger community by June 1, 2019. In the meantime, we have had to pause our programming to focus on fundraising, and hope when we re-start inside the correctional instituations we will not have to stop programming for the forseable future.
