Help Rescue, Feed, Care of our Dogs at the Shelter

The foundation hosts an animal rescue center as the centerpiece of its community health and education efforts, striving to eliminate sources of disease and improve sanitation in the community through proper management of stray animals.

The rescue center also serves as a teaching vehicle for local schools to help instill community values such as responsibility and animal welfare.

Our population in June is 51 inhabitants; 5 adoptions and 2 new rescues. 20 community pets were sterilized.

In addition to community outreach, maintenance, cleaning, feeding and care are provided to all animals residing at the facility each month.

The facility receives stray and injured animals from local authorities and occasionally from community members.

• Cleaning and maintenance of facilities daily.
• Food, water and veterinary care for facility residents daily.
• 20 free sterilizations were carried out thanks to the collaboration with the Ministry of Health.
• Our veterinarian Uriel Valdez applied Ivermectin to all resident pets to control fleas and ticks.
• Provided 6 pet cremation services requested by owners who lost their 4-legged friends.
• Visit of children to live with pets.
• We currently support people from the community with 4 pets that are in CRESCA due to health problems, people from the community pay for food and veterinary expenses and Cresca supports with transportation to the veterinarian and care.
• With the support of 2 volunteers, 2 pets were rescued that were not properly cared for by their owners.
• Cleaning and organization of CRESCA warehouses.
• Purina Distribution Center in Monterrey would like to donate kibble.
• Investigation of means of transporting croquettes from Monterrey to Santa Rosalía. (They are too expensive)
• We receive wood donated by people in the community to make dog houses.
• The pet play area is completed, where all groups of guests can go out and run freely.
