Happy Holidays, and thank you again for supporting The Rooster Project on GlobalGiving!
In addition to directly rescuing one hundred roosters from a breeder of birds for cockfighting this year, we also facilitated the placement of scores of other seized birds and provided intensive instruction on rooster care to other sanctuaries.
The Rooster Project is an initiative of VINE Sanctuary. I've attached a PDF of VINE's 2022 activity report, so that you can read about all of our work this year. (If you prefer to read it as a website, you can use this link.)
Everything we do is rooted in the on-site happenings at the sanctuary. The roosters and other animals who find refuge and care at VINE also co-create a community from which we and others learn.
Donors like you, who make sure that the rooster at the sanctuary have everything they need and that we have the resources to advocate for them, make it all possible.
We have an inkling that 2023 is going to be an even bigger year for roosters. A major media outlet is working on a story about cockfighting that we hope will help us spread the word about these beautiful and misunderstood birds. We've got other big plans for The Rooster Project next year, but I'll tell you about those in our next report.
In the meantime, thank you again, and here's hoping for a happy and healthy 2023!
