We will provide immediate food and hygiene supplies for families affected by the massive flooding in Mindanao caused by incessant heavy and continuous rains this week. The river system in municipalities in Misamis Occidental overflowed destroying livelihoods and homes and thousands are in evacuation centers.
Massive flooding is occurring in several towns in Misamis Occidental province and thousands have lost their homes and livelihoods. The rains has no sign of stopping and there is a need to mount relief operations targeting the most vulnerable. We badly need your support.
We will start with the provision of food packs and hygiene kits which is the most needed by the affected families. After our initial support, we will expand our efforts to the provision of seed packs so that affected families will be able to start their own vegetable gardening activities.
Targeted disaster response is very much needed in order for affected families to recovery quickly. Government is inundated with requests for help and are not able to reach to all those affected. Our experience in past disaster will be useful in helping the beneficiaries. Our main aim is the well-being of local communities affected by the disaster.
