Relief for Beirut Explosion Victims

It has been 5 months since the Beirut Port explosion. Zero accountability and zero government action. The people are the only ones who have been helping to pick each other up and try to put the city back together.

Clown Me In is only one of hundreds of groups and individuals doing the best we can under extremely difficult circumstances, relying on aid and relief funds (although it isn't and under no circumstances should be the norm). Despite this, we are doing whatever we can to alleviate the situation to the best of our abilities.

Thanks to your generous donations, we have so far spent $10,300 on:

Doors and glass repairs/replacement: $4,100

Paying for education: $3,000

Medicine: $1,350

Supporting artists: $1,000

Comic relief tour: $600

Armenia relief: $250

With the support of Payasos Sin Fronteras, we put on a show called the Comic Relief Tour, visiting the areas impacted by the blast to try and bring back a bit of light to the people, especially the many children severely impacted by PTSD. It was one of the hardest things we've ever done, but we received incredible feedback from parents or volunteers about kids who hadn't smiled or spoken since the blast finally starting to express themselves, or leave their houses, or just act like kids again.
