Rehabilitation center for 60 disabled in Poland

December is here! And in order to feel the Christmas atmosphere even more, our participants of the Academy of Life and Independence and the House of Independence together with their assistants went to Poznan to take part in the beautiful Christmas Fair. But it wasn't just an ordinary trip. The assistants made sure that the expedition combined adventure, independence and communication training. The participants had to plan their own train ride and ensure that they were accompanied on the platforms by people who would help them get on and off the train safely.

The residents performed their tasks perfectly and the entire journey was safe. For some participants it was their first train trip in their lives. They completed their first independence test after arriving in Poznan and reaching the Christmas Market. Everyone organized their free time on their own and had to overcome any barriers they encountered without the help of an assistant. The participants also achieved medals here. It turned out that no barriers were an insurmountable obstacle for them. The fair met all the expectations of our residents. From grilled sausages and other snacks, through successful shopping and great fun immortalized in photos. As you can see, staying in training apartments is not only about everyday duties and rehabilitation, but also a time full of surprises, new impressions, beautiful moments and fulfilling dreams!
