Winter 2022 Uganda Refurb Wells Interim Report

Thanks to our generous donors, the 2021 year-end crowdfunding campaign has been quite successful so far. BridgIT Water Foundation will be able to refurbish 8 wells, providing fresh, clean water to almost 7,000 villagers in rural Uganda. Your philanthropy allows BridgIT to continue to bring the basic human right of potable water to thousands of people living in the developing world. Thank you.

There are tens of thousands of non-functioning wells in sub-Saharan Africa due to broken pumps and rusted pipes. BridgIT will continue this crowdfunding campaign into 2022 to meet the demand for refurbished wells. For the initial 8 wells in the proposed 2022 program, an investment of only $1.67/person can repair a village's well, which means women and children don't have to walk miles daily to collect often contaminated water that makes people sick with miserable waterborne diseases such as cholera, dystentery, diarrhea, and more.

Refurb wells at their core are economic development projects because the time saved with accessible water wells allows women to earn extra money for their families. Children use the time saved to advance their educations, giving them hope for greater incomes in the future.

Please consider further donations to this cause, which makes a world of difference to so many people. Thank you.
