Khaled and His Family in Ramadan: Your Support Eases Their Suffering and Gives Them Hope

By HASAN SADIK | project Leader

Dear Donor,

In northern Syria, the stories of pain and sorrow multiply as the hardships and struggles that families face continue to increase. One of these heartbreaking stories is that of Khaled, a 15-year-old boy who carries a heavy burden that no child should bear.

During a tragic accident at his father’s worksite, his father sustained a spinal injury, leaving him unable to work and causing the family to lose their main source of income. With no other option, Khaled became the sole provider for his family, which includes his sick father, mother, and three younger siblings. He had to start selling vegetables at the main market in Suran, barely able to cover their basic needs. With each passing day, the weight of life’s difficulties grows heavier on his young shoulders.

In these tough circumstances, Ramadan arrived, and with Khaled preoccupied with providing for his family, they lived in constant fear of food shortages and the inability to meet their basic needs. But thanks to your generous donations, we were able to provide a complete food parcel for Khaled's family, enough to sustain them throughout Ramadan, easing some of their suffering and offering them moments of comfort and peace during this holy month.

However, many other families are still living in similar circumstances and need your continued support. Your ongoing donations help improve the lives of many and alleviate their suffering during these challenging times.

We sincerely thank you for your unwavering support and for being the reason behind improving the lives of this family.
Together, we make a difference, and together, we sow hope.
