It’s been six months since January’s devastating earthquake hit Haiti. To say it’s been difficult for Haitians to get back on their feet is an understatement, yet thanks to your generosity many small merchants have been able to continue working.
Following the earthquake, small merchants like Georges Ycelda struggled to continue selling goods in the market. Money was gone, inventory was gone and the need immense. As Georges explains, a small microcredit loan provided by Lambi Fund allowed her the finances needed to increase her inventory and to generate significant profits. Now, Georges can meet the wants and needs of her family. As she explains, “this project has made me feel that I am a strong woman who is making important contributions to my family and my community.”
Provide more women like Georges with the opportunity to establish small-business enterprises and provide for their families- continue your support today.
