It’s that time again: Pumpkin-flavored everything, apple-picking, beautiful falling multicolor leaves, and of course YouthLEAP! RAP is at the midway point of another successful semester of YouthLEAP. This semester we will be returning to four sites and branching out to four new ones! New and returning facilitators wrapped up an in-depth facilitator training learning best group practices with youth. Armed with their creativity and passion for social justice, they are ready to take what they have learned and provide a brave space building authentic community for low-income youth of color of New York City.
At one of our newest partner sites, Edgies Teen Center, we will be working with their staff to plan Martin Luther King’s Day event featuring an issue the YouthLeap group chose: Mental Health. The group, together with Educational Alliance staff, will be planning and executing a large-scale youth conference! Stay tuned for updates on this groundbreaking initiative!
We want to thank YOU for your continued support and partnership! If you would like to hear more from us and our youth throughout the semester, follow RAP on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for updates!
