Introduction
Noor Association for Persons with Disabilities is committed to providing humanitarian and relief aid to the Palestinian people, especially during difficult times. Given the severe economic challenges faced by our community, particularly in Aida and Al-Azza refugee camps in Bethlehem, we recognize the urgent need to support vulnerable families during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan. Our goal is to alleviate some of the burdens on our people by providing essential aid and fostering a sense of community solidarity.
Current Economic Situation
The Palestinian people have been enduring extremely challenging economic conditions. The economic crisis has not only impacted the most vulnerable groups, such as the poor and persons with disabilities, but it has also affected the entire population. With the ongoing halt in job opportunities and financial instability in the West Bank, many families are struggling to meet their basic needs.
In Aida and Al-Azza refugee camps, the situation has become particularly dire, with families facing increasing hardships. Nour Association recognizes the critical need to step in and offer support during this difficult period, especially during Ramadan, a time of giving and compassion.
Ramadan Relief Plan
Our plan for the holy month of Ramadan aims to provide humanitarian relief to at least 500 families in need. The assistance will include financial aid, clothing donations, and food packages to help families celebrate Ramadan with dignity and comfort. We believe that this initiative will bring hope and relief to many struggling families.
Objectives:
Financial Aid: Distributing 500 ILS per family to at least 500 families to help them cover essential expenses during Ramadan.
Clothing Donations: Providing families with new or gently used clothing to ensure they have appropriate attire for Ramadan and Eid celebrations.
Food Packages: Delivering essential food items to families to ensure they have enough supplies for the month of Ramadan.
Implementation:
Donor Contributions: We will rely on the generous contributions of our donors, both local and international, to fund this initiative. Your support will directly impact the lives of hundreds of families in Bethlehem and the surrounding refugee camps.
Volunteer Efforts: Our dedicated team of volunteers will assist in organizing and distributing the aid to ensure that it reaches those who need it most.
Community Outreach: We will work closely with community leaders in Aida and Al-Azza camps to identify the families most in need and ensure that the assistance is distributed fairly and effectively.
Expected Impact
Relief for Families: Providing financial aid, clothing, and food packages will help ease the burdens on at least 500 families during the holy month of Ramadan.
Strengthening Community Solidarity: The initiative will foster a sense of community and solidarity during a time of great need, reminding families that they are not alone in their struggles.
Promoting Dignity and Hope: By offering aid in a respectful and dignified manner, we aim to restore hope and bring joy to families during Ramadan and Eid.
