Caring for the mother and newborn children is at the core of all our healthcare interventions. Therefore we continuously take steps to ensure healthier generations. The SPARSH hospital has an exclusive ward for Post Natal Care of mothers and infants, the labour room is equipped for all kinds of high risk delivery and operations, we also provide a round the clock pick and drop facility to all expectant mothers and mothers with newborn children. Moreover, our experienced and dedicated staff ensures that all patients are provided individualized expert care.
Last year we built a new labor ward and NBSU (New Born Stabilisation Unit) fully equipped to provide extra care to the sick newborns born within the hospital. It also acts as the teaching and training hub for imparting the skills of newborn care. The unit will strengthen our efforts to reduce early neonatal deaths through the provision of individualized clinical care. The scaling-up of clinical care for sick neonates was vital for us for bringing Infant Mortality Rate(IMR) down taking us closer to our goal of healthier future generations in the villages.
In the last financial year our mother and child health services could reach the following beneficiaries with your support:
A baby girl brought happiness to Sana Shaikh’s life
24 years old “Sana Shaikh” residing at Balsur village, , Osmanabad district of Maharashtra India, which is 18 km away from PRIDE India’s SPARSH Hospital, came to hospital with medical history of third pregnancy. Somehow she has lost hope in her life as all her previous pregnancies ended up with miscarriages. When she arrived in SPARSH hospital her hemoglobin level was found to be 7.6 gm, which was very low and she had complaints of severe abdomen pain. Her family was worried and she was very scared and had lost hope due to her past experience in pregnancy. Her condition was critical and it was a complicated case thus in emergency, blood was infused and she safely delivered a baby girl under supervision of experienced doctors. Sana recovered very fast as she was kept under observation and provided due care and nutrition. Sana thanks SPARSH hospital for giving her the privilege to become a mother.
