Dear Friends,
Several key milestones are being recognized since our last report update in April, 2024. Association Saint Camille, which was founded in Ivory Coast in 1991, expanded to include Benin in 2004. Togo followed in 2016. A grand 20 year celebration was held on July 27, 2024 in Avrankou, Benin where the first clinic opened. Many hospitals and clinics now extend throughout the region helping those without access to care.
On August 17, 2024 we will celebrate the official grand opening of the Addiction Treatment Center in Dassa, Benin. This center is the first of it's kind in West Africa. An unofficial opening was held on April 15 and quickly grew from 10 clients to 100. We will have in-country updates on the next report.
