Hi All,
First, I would like to thank everyone who donated and/or participated in our virtual 5k! Congratulations to the winners and everyone who completed the 3.1 mile run/walk!
First place: Jeffrey Boucher 19:10
Second Place: Mitchell Mendis 21.41
Third Place: Tom McCarthy 27.45
Thanks to each and every one of you, we raised over $10,000 to provide prenatal vitamins to pregnant and lactating women in Honduras.
Cape CARES is partnering with the village of El Rodieto, to ensure that pregnant and lactating women are providing with the vitamins they need for a healthy pregnancy and baby. Thanks to all of you, our project will be able to expand to both of Cape CARES clinics, once we return to Honduras.
We were working with our local liaison on purchasing, delivering, and disbursing strategies during a stay at home order, however Cape CARES has decided to wait until the order has been lifted so that we do not risk the safety of the community members and our employees.
We will keep you update on our project and thank you all for your support during this time!
Best,
Valerie
