While SevaChild has provided food rations to more than 14,000 families in India since 2020, the need for such support in the wake of ever-increasing natural disasters remains urgent. Most recently, 1200 families affected by a devastating cyclone in Tamil Nadu received ration kits funded by SevaChild's donors.
The ration kits include staples such as rice, lentils, wheat flour, tea leaves, cooking oil, sugar, as well as other essentials like sanitary napkins and toiletries. A $40 donation will provide enough food for a family of five for eight weeks; however, SevaChild continues to work towards increasing the supply of product provided whilst keeping the cost of the kits as low as possible.
