The internal conflicts that erupted in April 2023 in West Darfur State, Sudan, have led to thousands of families being displaced from their homes to neighboring countries. Upon completing our previous project by providing the necessary needs, the team abroad requested an urgent matter requiring immediate attention: support for food and cash assistance.
The ongoing war in Sudan has resulted in a dire humanitarian crisis, leaving countless people killed, wounded, and assaulted. The country urgently needs assistance to address issues such as food insecurity, access to clean water, clothes, medical supplies, etc. This chaos led thousands of families to become displaced without having the necessary shelter or any food. According to the European Commission, More than 579,000* Sudanese refugees have escaped to Chad since April 2023.
Every donation to this project will go directly to the displaced families. This project supports the displaced families to buy basic needs, specifically food. Your donations will ease the food insecurity families face daily. Our board members are on-site, so we can reach out to the displaced families directly through them and provide them with what they need the most, even in difficult times like this.
The project will assist displaced families with some basic needs towards the cost of basic needs such as food, clothes, etc. Your support will go a long way in relieving many families from constantly worrying about providing food for their kids. This project may be the beginning point of receiving food assistance for many families from the recent conflicts in West Darfur, Sudan.
