Names, ages, and locations may vary, but the reasons are similar when opening the file of malnutrition for any child under five in northern Syria. No matter what support you provide, there is a child whose life is improving!
Tim is an infant who is not older than 11 months. His malnutrition case was identified during one of the rounds of the SEMA community health teams in the camps of northern Syria. Measurements showed that he was indeed suffering from severe malnutrition, with a mid-upper arm circumference of 113.
A treatment plan was implemented, which involved some medicine and introducing nutritious foods into his home meals, along with monitoring by our team.
Session after session, the child started to improve until his mid-upper arm circumference reached 133, with clear signs of improvement in his face and overall health.
Your generous donations have provided hope for thousands of children and families in terms of healing and care. Thank you to everyone who lent a helping hand.
