Fondation Tous Ensemble (FONTEN) wants to greatly appreciate the generosity and support of all of you during all this time, especially in the most difficult moments.
During the months of January to March, the Rehabilitation Center began to function almost in its normality, the number of patients began to increase and various activities were carried out such as having students in Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy internship, mobile clinics, high blood pressure screening, among others.
However, on March 19 the 1st COVID 19 case was registered in Haiti, so the center closed its doors and saw only those most urgent cases (March and April). The center operated in May, but due to the increase in cases, it closed again during this month of June.
Despite this, FONTEN continued to do other activities such as distribution of water filters for associations of people with disabilities and patients and education on COVID issues for people with disabilities through videos and photos. From February to May 2020, a total of 1753 therapy sessions were carried out, with a total number of 429 patients of which 141 are children, from these 179 are patients. A total of 78 orthoses were fabricated and 33 foot bot corrections were performed.
We hope that you and your family stay safe and healthy.
A big hug from FONTEN team.
