During the 2022 monsoon season our region received an unusually large amount of rainfall. Coupled with a typhoon and the inability to drain water into the ocean fast enough, Ubon Ratchathani had what is now considered its worst flood in history. It's the 2nd highest water level ever recorded but it stayed high for about 2 months and has had an enormous economic impact in the region. Our area depends on rice farming and many fields have been washed out. Many families were trying to get into work by taking a boat and then military trucks into the city. Many others had to leave their homes and live in temporary camps downtown. Our team was able to meet some of the immediate needs of families in flood camps by providing food and supplies, but one of the biggest needs was milk. Working in partnership with the local government, we were able to provide milk to dozens of families with children who needed temporary support. Thank you for helping our team help others!
