EbonyIda foundation has worked towards creating opportunities for less privileged children in public primary schools in Edo state of Nigeria. As we believe that basic education brings growth and development to the young one’s intellectual capacity as well as their morals, attitudes, and how they relate to those around them.
In pursuit of the above objectives, we have delivered on the goals by implementing programs geared towards meeting the needs of less privileged kids with school supplies to one hundred and fifty (150) less privileged children. The school supplies, which includes Uniforms, Shoes, and writing materials will be provided to less privileged pupils whose parents and guardians can not afford them.
BENEFICIARY:
The next School Supply program for 2023 will be given to three Public Primary schools within the Benin metropolis, carefully selected from three local government areas.
BENEFICIARY SELECTION:
The selection of beneficiaries will be done by working with the heads of schools (Head Mistresses) who are acquainted with every pupil and their pre-existing constraints to basic school supplies and confirmed by the EbonyIda Foundation project manager. Interviews will be conducted on the selected pupils to ascertain their poverty score and determine if they befit the purpose. Also a visit will be made to the selected pupil’s parents in a bid to ascertain the poverty level.
Fifty (50) pupils each from three (3) selected schools making a total of one hundred and fifty (150) male and female pupils will benefit from this program.
The project preparation started in January 2023 by seeking approvals from the government authority in charge of public Basic educational institutions in Edo state (State Universal Basic Education Board-SUBEB) followed by the logistics which run till the beginning of the school year 2023.
