Save the CT2 troop

I am delighted to report that we have now been successfully running the CT2 project for almost two years!

It has been increibly hard to keep the teams employed and we are so very grateful to you for your on-going support, without your generous contributions we simply would not have been able to carry on.

From the troop, we were delighted when Sassi had her baby, and then Prego and now Holly have all given birth to three gorgous, healthy infants.  The new babies were greeted with such joy from the monitors who have developed such loving care for the troop; when Benson called to tell us news of the first birth he was brimming with joy.

It has been lovely to see Holly with her new son Hogan, we were all so devasted when Holly was carrying her infant Hope and a driver deliberately swerved off the road and drove nto the baboons, knocking both Holly and Hope (December 2023). Sadly Hope was euthanised as her leg was very badly broken.  But now Holly is devoted to little Hogan and we are just so happy to have births in a troop that has suffered loss to shooters, dogs and cars.

I am so very proud to report that our teams keep the troop safetly in Ceceilia Forest for the majority of time and when the troop do run down to try and get easy food rewards from the garbage, the teams get the baboons back to the mountain within 30 mins, really great efforts!

We have prepared hard for our court case and the matter goes before the High Court on 4th November 2024, we will keep you posted with the outcomes.

As we head towards the completion of our second year, I want to thank you all again for your support, through your help we have kept hard working, dedicated men employed and the troop as safe as we can.
