Protect Thai Children from Online Sex Trafficking

Our dedicated Hug team, in collaboration with local law enforcement, undertook a significant operation that brought to light a disturbing case of child sexual abuse. Our team was originally on a mission to apprehend a male suspect for possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM). During the operation, they discovered a 9-year-old boy inside the accused's residence.

Recognizing the potential risk to the child's welfare, our team initiated immediate coordination with the Child and Family Home Agency. This collaborative effort led to the child being brought to the Children and Family Home Unit for protection and assistance. Social workers and the HUG team conducted joint interviews with the child. These interviews revealed harrowing details of sexual abuse and grooming tactics employed by the offender. Shockingly, the child disclosed that there were five friends who had suffered similar abuses.

Our outreach extended to these five children, coordinating with their respective schools and conducting interviews. These interviews uncovered incidents of indecent abuse and sexual harassment. All six children were taken to the hospital for medical examinations and have since been placed under enhanced welfare protection.

Your support was instrumental in enabling us to respond swiftly and effectively to this crisis. By working hand-in-hand with local agencies and law enforcement, we were able to provide a safe haven for these vulnerable children and facilitate their access to critical support services.
