This kind of situation happens to too many children..
*Harry found *Lilly through an online platform and started sending messages to groom her. Soon after, Harry convinced Lilly to send explicit material of herself and coerced her to send videos and images to him. Lilly’s mom eventually found out and warned the suspect to stop immediately and then called the police.
Harry worked hard to groom Lilly and almost convinced her to meet him in person too. Prior to this Lilly was incredibly close to her mom and would confide in her about everything. Unfortunately, since encountering Harry, she now trusts and confides in Harry, disregarding her mom’s previous warnings.
This situation was incredibly difficult for Lilly’s mom and she asked HUG for help to coordinate with the Cyber police to help navigate the situation. In many cases, online exploitation not only impacts the children but also the entire family.
