Last December a team went to Uganda to work with students sponsored to go to school and also to dedicate a new school we had just completed.  But the highlight of the trip was the small village we visited where we distributede 65 pregnant goats to widows, orphans or handicapped individuals.  The whole village turned out and a grand time was had.  There were speches and a shared meal.  Then our team got to give the goats to each recipient.  There were miles and miles of smiles. Then we had a team photo.  We had a veterinarian with us so all of the goats received shots.  Our team had an amazing time, as did the villagers.  They agreement is that they cannot eat the goats, they can only sell them or trade them.  This way they can accumulate a sizable herd in just a few years.  We will do another goat give away in December 2024.
