The goat and sheep breeding project is thriving. The members of the project have bred over 100 kids within this past year. Although, there have been several cases of abortion and cases of disease which appeared within the herd, the cases were minimal.
Lambi Fund continues to assist in providing educational and training support. In addition, experienced veterinary technician offers services to the members to reduce the number of losses. The necessary medications are purchased to ensure the animals are treated to prevent the spread of disease and increase the probability of survival.
In the second quarter of this year, APEAG, a group in the Gwomon community, requested assistance. Lambi funded this project at one million Haitian gourdes.
The organization purchased 32 goats (30 females, 2 goats). The organization hired a veterinary technician in the area to conduct a training session on July 13, 2024 on goat breeding techniques. There were 30 members who participated in the training program.
The project continues to have a significant impact on the communities as members become more knowledgeable in the subject matter. Members are willing to assist and educate new members on caring and nurturing their goats.
